Overall, I enjoyed the food. The "canoe for two" appetizer was good. I don't remember the exact dish I ordered but it was a Roy's signature dish- fish prepared chinese style-good but not memorable. Atmosphere a bit noisy. Yup, watch out for the little black bugs. Yikes!

As a date night, Roy's probably isn't your ideal place because of its boisterous atmosphere. The food is great - I tried the appetizer canoe - the beef ribs literally fell off the bone. For dinner, I had the 16 oz steak and though not as good as Ruth Chris, it was still very good.

One thing to watch out for are those small black bugs. I drank a few Newcastles and the waiter left the empty beer glass on the table after pouring my drinks. These bugs invaded the beer glass and when the waiter returned, he poured all the bugs into my beer. Yum, extra protein. In any case, excellent service as he quickly got me a new one - but something to watch out for if you're not aware of the bugs. :)
