Pretty busy for a weekday, even if it was a holiday. Our server seemed to be handling (or not...) the a giant part of the restaurant, which made service a little shady. His greeting and introduction were a little rushed and harsh. Thankfully he warmed up and was more friendly later in the dinner. He forgot to put our appetizer order in, which was kind of junk. We had to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for it to come out, that pushed back our entrees also. In addition, it allowed our drink levels to get near empty. He only came back to get more drink orders ONCE during the meal... it sucked. I let it slide... it is up to you how you want to think of this kind of treatment. Again, he --was-- taking care of way too many tables. Forgivable? You decide.
Getting past the service, the food is decent. Quantity over quality. Five out of six of us took our leftovers home. You might be able to finish your entree if you don't drink too much and don't have an appetizer. The mushroom ravioli appetizer definitely hit the spot, I'd get it again. Definitely one to share, its big. My veal was tasty, with good texture. The sauce was nice, but could have used more seasoning (heat!). They gave way too much veal and not enough pasta. On the drink menu are a couple domestic beers and a couple Italian, Peroni and Stella. Mostly crappy cheap wines, except for the obligatory Dom P. For dessert, the tiramisu was nice and light, right amount of sweetness. Delicious. And since we were celebrating birthdays, we got 'Happy Birthday' sung to us in Italian by some girl (hottie, definitely going back for that).
