I'm having a hard time reviewing Pho Nam. On one hand, we like to go here because the Pho soup tastes very clean and healthy. On the other hand, is the food really that good overall? There's so many Vietnamese places nowdays, it really is hard to differentiate them in regards to taste. Pho Nam is good. Nothing special. I go here mostly because it is across the street from my apartment. It is clean and comfortable, unlike most Vietnamese pho places in Chinatown. I like the beef rolls and tofu summer rolls, as well as the beef pho and Vietnamese beef stew. The lemongrass beef is good too. However, none of these are spectacular.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I like to go to Pho Nam, it's good, but nothing special.
Sorry about the weird review!
Tom's Tip: Seems like most of my tips are alcohol related. Beer is cheap here. Have a Tsing Tao while you wait for your take out order. But drink it fast, they can crank out a pho and order of spring rolls in about 7 minutes.
